Crowberry Education Sdn Bhd · Last Updated: 12 May 2025
Please read these terms carefully before registering for any of our programmes. By submitting an enrolment enquiry or confirming a booking, you indicate that you have read and understood the terms set out below.
1. About Crowberry
Crowberry Education Sdn Bhd ("Crowberry", "we", "us", "our") is an educational organisation based in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia. We design and deliver saving-strategies education programmes for mid-life households.
Important notice: Crowberry is not a licensed financial planner, investment adviser, or financial institution under Malaysian law. All programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, personal recommendations, or regulated financial services. Participants requiring advice on their individual financial circumstances are encouraged to consult a licensed financial planner registered with the Securities Commission Malaysia or Bank Negara Malaysia, as appropriate.
2. Programmes Offered
These terms apply to all three programmes currently offered by Crowberry:
Seasonal Saving Workshop
A weekend workshop on seasonal household saving rhythms. Educational only; no individual recommendations are made. Fee: RM 530
The Saving Rhythms Programme
A six-week evening programme on building gentle saving routines for busy households. Educational only; participants are directed to licensed advisers for any specific recommendations. Fee: RM 1,180
The Tended Garden Cohort
A 10-week cohort programme building a personal household-saving curriculum for adults aged 40+. Educational only; includes orientation toward licensed practitioners for individual needs. Fee: RM 2,650
Programme details — including dates, session times, and venue — are communicated by email upon confirmation of enrolment. Crowberry reserves the right to adjust programme content, materials, or format where doing so improves the educational experience, provided that the core programme description remains substantially unchanged.
3. Enrolment and Confirmation
- Submitting an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute a confirmed enrolment. Enrolment is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from Crowberry and, where applicable, full payment of the programme fee.
- Places are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. For The Tended Garden Cohort, a maximum of 12 participants is observed to support the quality of the cohort experience.
- By registering, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
- You are responsible for ensuring that the personal information you submit is accurate and complete.
4. Fees and Payment
- Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all stated materials (printed workbooks, seasonal cards, rhythm calendars, etc.) unless otherwise noted.
- Payment instructions will be provided in the enrolment confirmation email. Full payment is required before the programme commencement date unless a written instalment arrangement has been agreed with Crowberry.
- All fees are subject to any applicable taxes as required under Malaysian law.
- Crowberry reserves the right to review and update programme fees. Any changes apply to future enrolments only and do not affect confirmed bookings.
5. Cancellations and Transfers
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation terms are as follows:
| Notice given before programme start | Outcome |
|---|---|
| 14 days or more | Full refund of fees paid, less any printed materials already dispatched |
| 7 to 13 days | 50% refund, or full credit toward a future programme of your choice |
| Fewer than 7 days | No refund, but a transfer credit may be considered at Crowberry's discretion |
| Non-attendance without notice | No refund. Materials remain with the participant where applicable. |
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The date of our written acknowledgement determines which bracket applies.
- You may transfer your confirmed place to another eligible participant (aged 18+) at no additional charge, provided at least 5 days' notice is given and the substitute participant's details are provided in writing.
6. Programme Changes or Cancellation by Crowberry
- In the unlikely event that Crowberry must cancel a programme (for example, due to insufficient enrolments, venue unavailability, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control), enrolled participants will be notified as early as possible and offered either a full refund or a transfer to an equivalent future programme.
- Crowberry is not liable for any incidental costs participants may have incurred in connection with a cancelled programme (travel, accommodation, etc.).
- Where a programme is restructured (e.g. moved to a different date or delivered in a hybrid format), participants will be given reasonable notice and the option to withdraw with a full refund if the change is material.
7. Educational Scope and Limitations
Crowberry's programmes are educational in nature. The following applies to all participants:
- Content is general and informational. Nothing taught in any programme constitutes a personal financial recommendation, an offer of financial services, or regulated financial advice.
- Facilitators and staff are not licensed financial planners or advisers under Malaysian law, and will not respond to requests for personal financial advice during or after sessions.
- High-level references to common savings vehicles or general financial concepts are included for orientation only. Participants should consult a licensed professional before making any financial decisions.
- Crowberry does not accept liability for any financial decisions made by participants based on programme content.
8. Participant Conduct
We aim to maintain a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Participants are expected to:
- Treat facilitators and fellow participants with consideration
- Respect the confidentiality of personal disclosures made by other participants in group discussions
- Refrain from recording sessions without prior written consent from Crowberry
- Use programme materials for personal learning purposes only, not for redistribution or commercial use
Crowberry reserves the right to ask a participant to leave a programme (without refund) if their conduct is disruptive or harmful to others.
9. Intellectual Property
All programme materials — including printed workbooks, seasonal cards, rhythm calendars, digital resources, and website content — are the intellectual property of Crowberry Education Sdn Bhd. Participants may use materials for their own personal household learning. Reproduction, redistribution, resale, or use in any commercial context is not permitted without prior written consent from Crowberry.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law:
- Crowberry's total liability to a participant in connection with any programme shall not exceed the fee paid by that participant for that programme.
- Crowberry is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from participation in or reliance on our programmes.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury caused by Crowberry's negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Third-Party Referrals
Where Crowberry directs participants toward licensed financial planners or other regulated practitioners, this is done as a courtesy to assist participants in finding appropriate professional support. Crowberry does not endorse any specific adviser, does not receive any fee or commission for referrals, and is not responsible for the services, advice, or conduct of any third-party practitioner.
12. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By enrolling in a programme, you acknowledge that personal data submitted during enrolment will be used for programme administration as described in that policy.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. Crowberry encourages participants to contact us in the first instance to resolve any concern informally.
14. Changes to These Terms
Crowberry may update these terms from time to time. Enrolled participants will be notified of material changes by email. The version in force at the time of your enrolment confirmation applies to that enrolment. Continued use of our website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms for future enrolments.
